    as long as you have drivers, etc there is no reason to not build it yourself. ps- that looks to be a damn fine computer, but a 10-15k drive is not really needed for the os. a 7200 will be noticibly (few seconds) slower for stuff like booting windows/linux but to me being 3-4 times as expensive...

    ummm.. with an adapter you can put it im your computer to access the files like a normal hard drive. if you don't want to open your computer you can use a external enclosure, now $5 plus shipping at tigerdirect :)

    any pro duo will work and do everything you described. it's all about quality/ speed of the card. and a mini usb cable or ms duo card reader is needed.
