3TB will satisfy my needs. With all that said, all that's left is checking every part again and make a decision from those who have a " rival ". Maybe I should consider paying some attention to the motherboard though, kinda rushed on selecting it.

Which CPU are you going for? That board will only work with a 3820, a 3930K or a 3960X.

Sorry, I saw that you wanted X79 originally, and had been suggested Z77, so I was not sure what you had chosen.

Either way, I would not get that board. MSI is not really safe on the lower end boards. Look at Gigabite or Asus.

Not yet decided, but as it seems, the 3930k kinda isn't worth the money. So I'd like a motherboard which will suit good a i7 3770k. In case I change my mind and go for the 3930k, I will get the mobo you recommended me, Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H.

No the GA-Z77X-UD5H won't work with a 3930K, but it will work with a 3770K.

3770K is socket 1155
3930K is socket 2011

They require different boards.

Oh, alright then, I guess I'm in need of a good mobo for 3930k if the MSI one isn't that safe.

Thanks for the links, they did come in handy. After some research, I've decided to go for the EVGA, even though it's a lot more expensive.

As a last question, I'd like to know if it's worth getting an overclocked 7970. The difference in price is around 50€. I can also indicate some differences which I could spot in their characteristics.

Sapphire AMD Radeon HD7970 3GB DDR5 384bit PCIe: 925 MHz, RAMDAC (MHz): 400 MHz, Memory Frecvention 5500 MHz, DirectX Version 11, Dimensions(mm) 275 x 115 x 36 mm. ( http://193.25.112.104/images/mari/placa-video-sapphire-amd-radeon-hd7970-3gb-ddr5-384bit-pcie.jpg )

Sapphire Radeon HD7970 GHz Edition OC 3GB DDR5 384bit: 1000 MHz, RAMDAC (MHz): 2 x 400 MHz, Memory Frecvention 5800 MHz, DirectX Version 11.1, Dimensions(mm) 280(L)x115(W)x45(H) mm. ( http://193.25.112.104/images/mari/p...deon-hd7970-ghz-edition-oc-3gb-ddr5-384bi.jpg )

Oh, also I totally forgot to ask for what kind of channels I should go for the RAM, dual, triple or quad ? I don't really understand from the internet which one does a better a job ... Point me in the good direction please :)

EDIT: I think it has to be Quadruple, 4 x 4, as it depends on the motherboard.

Correct, it depends on the motherboard/chipset.
