Crappiest PC ever

My first computer was a Commodore 128D. It rocked. I spent hours doing Basic. No hard Drive, no modem, nothing. Just that and Legacy of the Ancients, which I played the 5 1/2 disk out of it's sleeve. I used to dream about having a 32 meg hard drive to hook up and and 300 bps modem with Compuserve, my parents never got it, so my first on-line experience was in 1996 when I joined the Military.

My first computer was, i beleive, a 386. I do not remember the specs or anything on it but i used to get pissed off cuz my friends could play Doom and my POS didnt even have the juice to run that. That was then followed by a Gateway Pentium pro 180mhz! I had that thing up until about 3 years ago. I must say, it did make a fine Duke Nukem 3d machine.

The crapest computer I had only worked when i played Forger :D. I'm not sure of the specks or what os it ran but I still got Fogger to work :D.
BTW: what are the controls for Keen and is there any sound?

F1=help. f3 = changing keys, crlt iis jump shuft uses pogp if you have it and alt shoots if you have ray gun charges, i think. I'm pretty sure thats right, Its funny how i have a memory for the controls of a game i havn;t even played for years.

Oh yeah scapebar to bring up your stats(maybe enter, return.) and esc, to obvoisly close.

I cant seem to get KEEN to work, i unzipped it and tried opening all of the DOS prompts and exe's and everything but it wont work.

I just unzipped into a different it and clicked on the .exe
I cant believe it worked on windows xp without using compatibility mode

first computer, was the kind with a blue screen and and all it could do was type and print, it was amazing at the time, but it took a while for us to get a new one, good thing I didnt even use it when we had it

the crappist computer i've ever had is the one i have now. a compaq presario 2100 laptop. 2.1 Ghz., 256 mb. RAM, no graphics card (so it slows my CPU). Broke its HD, Power input, CD Drive, PCMIA slot... Just about everything that can break on this laptop has broken

i had a 486DX2 packard bell. 66 mhz, 4 mb of ram upgraded to 8, 1 mb of onboard video, 420 mb harddrive (100 gb left after windows 95 was installed over windows 3.11), either a 2 or 4x cd rom drive, doom and wolfenstein 3D was the best games ever on this beast.

The crappiest PC that I have ever used was back in 1995. It was a lappy the size of Manhattan. It ran some strange OS that I truly did not recognize. The screen was RED/BLACK only. I can tell you that the longest I could last on that thing was 30 minutes with eyes as red as the color of the monitor! I remember being able to play some game where I would choose the angle of the shot and the velocity and launch it against an opponent (which was also a gorilla). Weird game, but a fun, first-time experience.

JAN :D

my first computer was an old apple IIE with dual 5 1/2 floppy and 128k of ram. now look what im running.

My first computer, was an EPSON can't remember the specs. It did not have a 3.5 floppy drive and it had a Microsoft Windows that was black and white that was released in like 1985

I got my first computer when I was 2 or 3, well my family did. I don't really know what it had, I think it was a 186, something like that. The "desktop" was a blue screen and you moved the coursor using the arrow keys. When you typed a document and wanted to print it out, you had to type a code for the printer to understand including size and color of the font. I don't think it ran games:). The screen was probably 12" or less, and it only showed blue and yellow. That was the crappiest PC I've ever seen. I suppose it was OK in ts time...
lol ive never actualy seen those in real life exept for in the movies. i didnt know people even were able to buy those. and just think the jump they made from that to my old one which is a 98' dell running 64 megs of ram, 8 gig hdd, and if it was running i would say the video ram and what type but i dont know. man back then i would have hailed bill gates for making windows 95 & 98 compared to that blue screen. lol :D :P
