Graphics card and power supply upgrade ?

how do i unintall the current drives ? and then just shut it down put card in and wait for the new psu to come ye ?

they will be listed in the Uninstall programs list. It will be listed as Intel GMA, CCC, or Nvidia Control Panel and Nvidia Graphics Driver. Just click to uninstall them.

Install the CCC driver after you remove your original drivers. Then shut it down and install card, but dont restart until you have your new PSU in.

right so i uninstail card shut it down place new card in wait then until i get my new psu connect new psu up then turn machine on is that how you want me to do it ye ?

so when i have unintalled old drivers can i put the Raedon disk which came with the graphics card to install new drivers ?

no, go to the website to download the new ones, the ones on the disk are older ones so instead of taking the time to download them then update, just download the newest ones now.

and i think no to uninstalling the c++ thing.

Just looked at graphics card it comes with a small lead which connects to the card then to something else two White connection on end do they need connecting to power supply ?

no. Your new PSU will have the 6 pin connectors already. The adapters are to connect the MOLEX to the card. THey are only needed if you are using an old pre PCIe PSU.

i don't really know, just its generally safer to use a straight connection over one going through a adapter or something, less things can go wrong, although i don't see any problems with using the molex adapters or whatever if it is what i think it is.

got it all working now lads cheers but i connected it up using the molex does this matter ?

Are you using the old power supply. If not and its the new power supply, unhook the adapters and use the PCIe power leads off the power supply.
