Haha I can almost feel how proud you feel by saying that Danny! :P

The AC7Pro has been great for me, it was a pain in the ass to install though, I had to remove the motherboard and everything... :mad:

But I can't complain since my idle temps were what, like ~25C? But now they are like around 33C I need to clean it.

No, not the case. You should be fine if you just bought it, I don't think it comes "Pre-Dusted" from the manufacturer :P

nope, not for another month or so when i move my pc to the basement where it will have a much cooler environment :)

You need some intake fans on the front to bring in cool air from outside, through the case, over the CPU HSF and then out the back. Can you add any?
 
i hear ya man. i hate those stupid pushpins, which is why i bought the zalman. you have to take out the motherboard to install it, but it is very straightforward and easy. once it is installed you can take off the heatsink and have it back on in literally 30 seconds. the thing i hate about the pushpin design is that you never really know if it is on correctly. with the zalman there is no guessing. once it is on, you know it is on correctly. If i were you id return the ac freezer and get the 9700 or 9500
 
Yeah, I'm 100% sure that case has a front fan grill. Just remove the front bezel and you should see holes to screw your fan to.
 
yes, it does, but its located on the bottom, which i dont think will help much.

@dirtyd86: the reason i got the ACF7P is because it was cheap and i would not have to take the computer apart....so getting a zalman would be nice, but i dont want to spend that much money, im still saving so i can upgrade to a nehalem next year. i also read the 9500 is bad for quads.
 
can i get something to replace the empty slots in my dvd drive area?

also, do you guys think 35c at idle at stock speeds is acceptable? thats what i expect to get once i move it down to the basement.

Im going to be fitting a 140mm fan to fit in the empty space in the 5.25" bay. I used to have a 80mm pretty much just sitting in there. I just jerry-rig it with zipties so I can put fans anywhere I want in my case.

The temp is acceptable, but there no harm in aiming lower.
 
If you can add the fan at the bottom it'd help. Cold air sinks, so the the fan would suck it in, and then the hot air rises. So it'll go out the top exhaust fan.
 
thats a very nice case..suppose to show it off not stick it in a desk.. do you have the back cardboard cut out for rear fans ???to move the hot air out? if not i would do so , i had the same setup once upon a time and helped alot :D
 
how could i go about fixing the front intake? one of its wires poped out. should i just put electric tape at the end of the wire that poped out and try to plug it in?
