MS dug a deeper hole with this statement.
Xbox chief: we have a product for people who can't get online, it's called Xbox 360

Update v1.0.1 (Released November xx, 2013)
General
- DRM's back bitches!
Just wondered what everyone thinks about the console situation, now both companies have revealed dates, prices etc.
Seems with the ps4 costing significantly less than xbox one and and sony letting you do as you wish with 2nd had games, I can`t see any reason for people to choose xbox one considering it costs more, you can`t freely trade games and although it does not need a constant internet connection, i understand it needs to go online every 24 hours.

Exactly and the fact it has to go online at least every 24 hours, yes a majority of people now have broadband access, but even for the minority that don`t microsoft have more or less slapped them in the face especially with the xbox 360 is for those without internet comments.
As far as i can see sony have played nearly every card right, price, used games etc.
The only bad side to the ps4 is the need to pay to play online unlike ps3.
I don`t think it is a big deal given ps4 is cheaper and can exchange games, but sony really should aim to release the ps4 ahead of the xbox one.
