Ooh, sounds simple, should I just get the triple-core? Looks like it'll cut $50 out.
620, the 630 is overpriced. And with any luck you may be able to unlock the cache.
That the 630 is overpriced? or the unlocking? When i say with any luck im referring to the fact that some of the older ones were denebs with L3 cache, while the newer ones may or may not be on the Propus core. And by that you mean... I'ma noob.

I've bolded the parts that I don't understand for you
L3 Cache is on die memory essentially.I've bolded the parts that I don't understand for you
Yes, but its not 100% guaranteed you can unlock them.So from what I'm getting, I should buy the Athlon II x4, enable the cache... through the BIOS?
YupBut it's still a good CPU, right? Just not as good as the Phenom II x4s?
+1For a 100 bucks its hard to beat.
Bios isnt vista, its the Basic Input Output System on the motherboard. Its where you change settings, overclock, change memory timings/voltages, time/date/ etc. When you turn a computer on and it says "Press delete to enter setup", that would be the bios.Alright, then I'll get the 620? And can you tell me how to enable the cache in the Vista BIOS? I'm not yet familiar with it.
No, its actually a flaw in the bios that causes you to be able to unlock it.Yeah, that. Will it be blatantly obvious in the "setup"? If the L3 cache is disabled, will it say enable or will I have to navigate through the entire thing?
