I'm not completely sure on that. I haven't used flash in Linux for some time. It sounds like an issue with the plugin. It may not be ready for the real world yet.

yea ive got compiz working, along with cairo dock.

ill mainly use it for web browsing and word processing.

im gunna try to get wine to work, or else put windows in a vm.

oh btw, youtube videos are really choppy. the sound qaulity is good, but the video gets laggy once in a while. any fixes? i have adobe nonfree.

There goes learning Linux.:D

Ah, well... I guess you will need to learn how to do what you want to do within the constructs and limitations of that OS. If you need Windows (like for Windows games), you will be better off with running it natively. There are quite a few alternative ways of doing things within Linux, but DirectX support in any fashion is very limited.
