You Are welcome

How about this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131323 if your going to buy an NVIDIA GPU so that you can go SLI later on if you want. It's around $10 cheaper and gives you all the same functions as the board you selected, except it only supports 8 Gb of RAM vice 12, but, like I said before, will allow you to go SLI later on.
Agreed

How about an Intel set up...:)

ASUS P5Q Pro ($105 after rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131299

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 ($165)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115055

This combo might be about $10 more than the hardware you picked. If I were you, I would really think about going Intel right now. Even though the AMD chip is clocked at 2.8GHz and the Intel chip is 2.33GHz...Intel chip will walk on that AMD chip!

That is a really solid motherboard also. A good friend of mine has one with a Q9300 @ 3.0GHz and Patriot RAM running at 1200MHz for over a year now with no issues what so ever.

I agree about INtel being better but he already has gone much above his original budget I guess but if he can afford it i think he should definately go for it
