I am looking into purchasing a laptop.
I would like, for it to be a mac. Just to mess with it.
I found an ibook, with 500mhz cpu. and id upgrade the hdd and ram.
For like $180 brand new i think.



Anything else? or something?

He did not say he was buying it, he was simply asking if anyone else had any other suggestions, and I wanted to know his budget so I could look around for him.

Brand new? That is a VERY old laptop. But for 180, go ahead.
 
So either, Ill have vista already on there. or ill get a coupon for vista, for free?


And are there any e-coupons or something, to where I can get some money or free accessories for the laptop? Its the 1501, i think.


And how much is another stick of 512mb for that laptop, how much would that be?


And could I play css?

The only problem I see with the upgrade coupon, is that it upgrades to Vista Home Basic, and you do not want Home Basic, you should at least get Premium. Therefore, you should probably get a laptop with Home Premium already on it. Less of a hassle.
 
Then can you or someone show me other options?

I need it to be,
Fast, $600 its ok if its a little over., and i want to play css and maybe some other new games. and vista.

Oh...

Wouldnt it be more though?
Is it impossible to find a laptop with all the features like the 1501 has if not more and better, but have that vista version, how much is it?
