For me the 7950 gx2 just pips it. Has more pipelines 48 as opposed to 16(48 pixel shader processors), and it has a 512-bit interface as opposed to 256-bit

Ok, you're finished.

First off, a single 7900GTX (as the 7950GX2 is based off the 7900GTX) has 24 pipes, not 16. Also, a single 7900GTX does not have 48 pixel shader processors, it only has 24.

Lastly, it has a dual 256 bit memory interface, not a full fledged 512 bit memory interface, as it still is two cards.

Well said, simply having 2*256bit cards does not equal the same output as a 512bit card, especially when it comes to real world performance.

ok so reliable wasn't the right word, is the 7900 GTX a good chocie for constant gamming, and lan parties.
The 7900GTX is an excellent choice for gamers, however for ~$100 more you can get the 7950GX2, which is effectivly two 7900GTX's combined.

I must say this: Newer mess with ATI men in your life :D
Hell, they may close thread down if you say nVdia being better or they misunderstand your sayings about some one.. ;)
Free word is not an option in some places I guess.

As long as you bring facts to the table your allowed to mess all you want. Also, if you cool down a few degrees and actually read through my posts you'll notice that I've in numerous places have stated the X2 to perform best at this moment.

You implied that people who dont agree with you aren't thinking, don't do stuff like that and threads wont get closed.

Go ahead and PM Ian or another Administrator if you've got a problem (or an example) of me not allowing free non condescending words.

Is it better? I was thinking its a little better/equal than/to regular 7900GT. Maybe some tests?
I would like to see those tests where both cards are OC'ed to their max with their stock coolers in the same test :) That would be interesting to see.

i have had experience with both Nvidia and ATi, i recently switched to Nvidia because of their SLI. I prefer Nvidia mostly because most higher tier games are more compatible.
