i may as well mention,with this case there is a free 800 watt psu,could i use tht instead of forking out for a new psu,it looks ok,there different deals,i probs wont need one as big so whats the minimum wattage i should go for u reckon

Well it is a coolermaster case, so so long as it is a coolermaster unit, it should be alright :)
 
hi guys got all me parts and now building,i bought a intel core i5650 processor,i have installed it but now want to put the heatsink and fan on,do i need to apply thermal paste to the processor,i have looked on the bottom of the heatsink,i think there is already summit applied to the botttom of the heatsink.theres 3 strips of a dried substance thnx

just checked properly and itzs rubber so im guessin it doesnt need paste.

If it is the stock heatsink, it comes with pre-applied thermal paste, but it isn't very good.

If you aren't overclocking, it will be alright, but if you do in the future, you will be better off getting thermal paste and a new heatsink, because the stock ones from both Intel and AMD are crap
 
hi guys.set all me computer up hardware wise,now trying to put operating system on,and it says set up did not find any hard disc drives installed in your computer.it says make sure it has power which ive done,and make sure it is connected to computer properly which ive checked.i have got a samsung 500gb sata hardrive,ive connected it to sata 0 on the motherboard via sata cable.help would be great thnx
 
ive got passed the last problem,now i have come across another,im installing windows xp,insalling window)a blue screen has come up and it says,
a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer

if this is the first time youve seen this stop error screen,restart ure computer.if this screen appears again follow these steps.
check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.if this is a new installation,ask ure hardware or software manufacturer for any updates u mite need.

if problem continues disable or remove any new hardware or software.disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing.if u need to use safe mode to remove or disable compnents restart ure computer.press f8 to select advance startup options and then select safe mode.
