Sweeeett!! I pre-ordered off NewEgg Monday. Coming in tomorrow afternoon! Just found out today that my 8am english class is canceled on Thursday, and my next class is at 12:30. I wonder what I'm going to be doing Wednesday night . . . hahah

I won't spit off my 2 page review I plan on writing up on my website but damn, I got some nice screens! Game so far is a winner, but I have a few reservations about it.

I have a screen shot of some ex brotherhood of steel guys in power armor but I won't spoil that one.

god those screens are amazing. can't effing wait to play this game... i am forcing myself to finish bioshock first because i know if i start another game i will never finish it. and bioshock is one of those rare few that you need to finish :D

is fallout3 similar to oblivion in terms of gameplay? my impression of it so far is that it is oblivion style gameplay with stalker style settings. although i hope it has a bit more focus than oblivion did. any feedback on this game and what it has to offer would be great :D :D

No it doesn't play like oblivion at all, but it feels like oblivion if that makes any sense at all. The skills are used in a way different manner than this one for sure, and it isn't quite a FPS either. I mean if your small arms skill sucks hardcore no matter how good you are at aiming with a mouse your character will miss some shots.

The VATS system makes for some awesome cinematic combat. I need to record some video with FRAPS, because I have already made some damn impressive long shots with the hunting rifle and VATS.

The game is worth it for sure. I can tell that by my first time playing. It does have that 'have to travel on foot' feel Oblivion gave which is one thing I am kind of not liking. I like the 1 and 2 world map how you just traveled in a line like the Indiana Jones traveling montage scenes.

Oh well, that is a minor issue for me, because once you travel somewhere once you can fast travel there and back.

I agree. It's Oblivion without being Oblivion. Melee combat feels very Oblivion like but since I like shooting things with the Bloody Mess perk (good times :D) I don't have to worry about melee much.

The walking animation for your character is hurting. If you watch your self moving in 3rd person it's painfully bad sometimes.

Otherwise, I like the game so far.

Cool, I got some science one it included computer hacking skills.

:(

i need some practical skills like that. so far my guy is an eloquent sneaky guy who is good with medkits. no real way to defend myself. what kinda character are you trying to build?
