Cool thread. It's interesting to read about everyones CPU history.
I received the Pentium and K-6 II cpu's in their complete systems (except for the Pentium MMX) through my dad because all these systems were non-operational (aka they didn't know what they were doing and didn't dare change anything) or were upgrading to newer technology. With the pentium cpu's i spent a lot of time just messing around with the jumpers and watching the clocks change. I think i eventually burned some of them out. I actually had at least one pentium I system for personal use (i actually used windows XP on it
) until 2003 when a friend bought a AMD Athlon XP 2200+ system for me.
