    Throw away the celeron chip and get a better processor. Those games especially quake 4 were meant to be ran on pentium processors at least. You might think the celeron is fast at 4.1 ghz but really its not compared to a core 2 duo (or quad) if overclocked to 4.1 ghz.

    If you can get the i7 920 then cool but that would mean you would have to get a 1366 socket motherboard so that the cpu is compatible. I think MSI has an inexpensive motherboard running around somewhere on newegg.

    They do but the i7 920 will not work with the 1156 motherboard because of incompatible sockets. I do have to agree with just getting the 920 over the 950 for the sake of saving money and overclocking to get just as good as the 950.

    Update as 18 Dec 09 I just received my ASUS P6T SE motherboard. Got it for $198 on Ebay brand new. Im also considering getting the ASUS P6T Premium mobo with the USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0gbs. Starting slow but making progress.
