I was working fine then all of a sudden stopped working. Now it won't recognize a disc in the drive. The computer recognizes it in the hardware monitor but says there is a problem with it. I have downloaded new drivers from toshiba's website but they have not fixed the problem. any ideas?:confused:

I started on normal and way dying constantly, restarted in easy now it's too easy! oh well i'll finish it and move on to medium. Great came although doesn't seem to scary. My hard drive Is active at idle even after idling for over 10 minutes, the HDD light flashes every couple senconds or so or stays on for a second. Is this a sign of spyware/malware? I have run AVG, Hijackthis, spybot, cccleaner, ect. All came up clean, besides the usual tracker cookies and junk.

Ok I have a samsung home theater system that I use as computer speakers, It has a optical input. My computer has an optical out. Would I get true surround sound from games if I hooked it up to my computer with an optical cable instead of rca's?

You are hitting the limits there I think. check your temps with realtemp while running benchmark stay under 65c, it may be shutting itself off because of high temps. I had an E6550 I was only able to push it to 2.8 and keep it under 60c. be careful.

I would try putting the firewire card in a different PCI slot for starters. You are right it may be the mobo. Replacing the mobo is easy. You should get one with the firewire ports built right in. Be careful removing and reinstalling the CPU.

It will work fine, check out the 9800gtx + . Can be had for less than $200. I don't think an 8800gt would last you 2 years....

the 780i is a waste IMO thats why I didn't get it. The only thing its got over the 750i is it supports tri-sli,and dual gigabit lan(waste). 750i FTW is the same except it only supports sli and has no dual gigabit lan. leaves you more $ to spend on your video card(s).....

really? maybe I just get shot at alot. nearly every time i'm in a firefight he pulls a bullet out of his hand, arm, leg or whatever, couple times he's pulled a glass shard out. when he gets burned somtimes he pats out the fire sometimes he will wrap it with gauze. yet to see the dislocated arm...
