    psu suggestion?

If wattage is not relevant, then I'm wondering why graphics card manufacturers will often put a minimum watts rating in the requirements.

FS: The Witcher on PC DVD

I have the Witcher game on PC DVD for sale. It came with my MSI card, has never been used and is still sealed in the original sleeve. Asking $20 for it if anyone is interested, and shipping to the lower 48 US states is included in the price. I have a PayPal account. Thanks. EDIT: should...

    External HD Not Recognized

Yep, not surprising that the OS support was not really helpful, but it was worth a shot. Have you tried a different USB cable? Does your external drive offer an alternative way to connect to the computer like firewire? If so, give that a try. Otherwise if the data is really important, you may be...

    External HD Not Recognized

Did you click the message to see if the so-called "assistance" is of any value? You never know. Sometimes good things happen in the OS support. A good reason to get a backup procedure in place.

    compatibility AGP/PCI/PCI-E

Generally you don't need AGP and PCI-E together. What video card do you have or are thinking of using? AGP = older tech for video cards. PCI-E = newer tech for video cards. Most all boards have PCI, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I don't think you'll have a problem with that PSU.

    saints row 2

I saw the ads for this game and must say have no desire to try it. Of course, I'm also more (ahem) advanced than the age range this game would cater to. So frag on my friend....:P

PC not accepting new graphics card.

You are installing the correct driver for your OS? You uninstalled any old drivers first?

    Computer won't boot :(

The 4-pin CPU power plug is connected - right? Maybe a stupid question. Any beep code errors? I'm sure you would have mentioned them if so, but I had to ask. You might try assembling everything outside of the case to see if it will work then. Maybe it is shorting out somehow. That's all I...

    High Temps! Need Help!

@ Casie, in another post, you stated running a pretty high overclock. My opinion is to bring everything down to stock settings and then see where your temps are with this. You have a pretty good CPU even at stock settings. Good luck. :) The other post...

Post A Pic Of Your Pc Here :)

Uh-oh. Big floor fan pointed to what looks like an open computer case. Is that how you are cooling it down?

    sudden high temps

Ideas might be your CPU fan started malfunctioning (slowing down or stopped), or your heatsink fan assembly might need a very good cleaning.

    psu suggestion?

Here;s a PSU calculator from Newegg. http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html If you're going to SLI two 9800GTX's then I'm thinking 600 watts won't be sufficient.

    CPU Temp

I'm not sure what the specs are for your 6600, but 65c at idle seems very high. You might want to consider decreasing that overclock. Do you have any stability issues?

    CPU Temp

CNQ shouldn't hurt performance (unless you overclock, I suppose). It is made to throttle the CPU up to full speed whenever it is needed. And a new heatsink will probably help if you are using the stock one.

    CPU Temp

Okay, a couple of thoughts on this. Do you use Cool N' Quiet? Since this steps down the processor frequency during idle, this can make a big difference in temperatures. Do you have the Brisbane core? Brisbane's have a reputation for often giving false temperature readings.

    best ram brand

Yes, some boards are very picky about what RAM they will run. If you want to play it safe, you could look up what EVGA recommends for your board. http://www.evga.com/support/mbmem/
