New desktop keeps waking up from sleep

Usually have a browser and/or Word opened. Here's a screenshot of my most recent unexplained wake. It wakes by itself once every few days. Used to be more frequent, but I turned a bunch of stuff off.

New desktop keeps waking up from sleep

I bought a new HP desktop with Windows 10. It keeps waking up from sleep by itself. I switched off wake timers, turned off the mouse, turned off Realtek controller. Still is waking up. Using command prompt doesn't reveal the source anymore. I have the PC plugged in to Ethernet via AC powerline...

    i3-7100 vs i5-7400

OfficeMax actually has an HP on sale with the i5 that's cheaper than the HP with the i3 I'm looking at. The i5 has turboboost to 3.5 GHz, while the i3 is a flat 3.9.

    i3-7100 vs i5-7400

I'm looking at these two CPU's in a new desktop. I plan to use it mainly for web surfing and Office, occasionally watching videos, never gaming. I usually have multiple programs open at once. Which CPU would be better?

    Converting HDMI to coax

I guess I could do that, but then I would lose the coax port on my TV, which is what I originally wanted. The really strange thing about this issue is that my local cable provider, Cox, has manufactured probably millions of these small boxes that have an HDMI port and coax port on the back of...

    Converting HDMI to coax

About a year ago, I was using no cable box. I had the coax cable from the wall going straight to the TV, and I was able to get about ten channels in HD.

    Converting HDMI to coax

I don't know why HD would go to SD over the cable line. It transmits HD fine from my cable company. I want 5.1 audio. No one has ever responded to my original question: does this type of converter exist?

    Converting HDMI to coax

    I don't believe 5.1 will go through a 3.5 mm jack.

    Converting HDMI to coax

The sound card is able to send all 5 channels. I've done it before.

    Converting HDMI to coax

The .mkv video file has 5.1 audio. My laptop does not have optical out, so I can only send 5.1 out of the HDMI port.

    Converting HDMI to coax

My TV won't send 5.1 audio to my A/V receiver if the feed comes from the HDMI port, but it will if the broadcast comes from the coax port. Also, hypothetically, it could be an older TV with a coax port but no HDMI.

    Converting HDMI to coax

I want to send a video from my laptop out of my HDMI port and connect it to the coax port on my TV. Is there a converter that will let me do this?

    Can I delete AutoLogger-Diagtrack-Listener.etl?

I reinstalled Windows on my SSD. When the process completed, I noticed Windows had added a folder to my HDD, which is just for file storage. The path is D:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Diagnosis\ETLLogs\AutoLogger\AutoLogger-Diagtrack-Listener.etl. What is this for? And can I delete it?

AMD Radeon R8 M445DX vs. Intel HD graphics

I'm looking at an Acer laptop that uses AMD Radeon R8 M445DX for its GPU instead of an Intel setup. My primary usage is surfing, Office, Skype, multi-tasking with several programs and windows open. I don't do a lot of gaming. Would AMD be good enough for me?

    AMD A12-Series A12-9700P v. Core i3/i5

I'm looking at buying this Acer laptop. It has an AMD A12-Series A12-9700P CPU. My current laptop has a Core i3 @ 2.4 GHz with no turbo boost. The specs on the AMD show faster numbers and more cores. But actual tests I've read about on the web claim that it doesn't perform as well as Intel's...

Using Windows 7 and 10 PC's on the same network

I'm not familiar with Workgroup. I have always used Homegroup. If Workgroup is a better option, I guess I could use that.

Using Windows 7 and 10 PC's on the same network

I have a Windows 7 laptop and Windows 7 desktop. If I replace my Windows 7 laptop with a Windows 10 laptop, will the new laptop be able to communicate with my Windows 7 desktop via Homegroup?

How much to fix a flickering HP monitor?

I have an HP laptop I purchased about 2 years ago. Now the monitor is flickering on and off. I'm not sure if I should buy a new computer or have this one repaired. Anyone know approximately how much it will cost (parts and labor) to fix it? I think it will be too complicated to do myself.
