Will CMX12GX3M3A2000C9 Work with ASUS Sabertooth X58?

I just bought the ASUS Sabertooth X58 board and would really like to add 24GB of CMX12GX3M3A2000C9. It's not on the supported list for the board. Does that mean it won't work, or just that they don't guarantee that it will work? Is it worth a try, or is it likely that I'll have problems?

Triple-Monitor Stand for Three 28" Monitors

I have three Hanns·G HH-281HPB 28" monitors, and I'm looking for a way to free up some desk space. I'd prefer a triple-monitor stand, but I can't find any that will hold monitors bigger than 22" or at most 24". Is anyone aware of anything that can hold 28" monitors? If not, what would you...

Is the 5770 Enough to Power 3 Monitors at 1920x1200?

Thanks, guys. The problem is that he has only one PCI-Express x16 slot. So he'll need to go with a single card. Sounds like the 5770 will work just fine, but I'll take a look at the 5830 and 5850.

Is the 5770 Enough to Power 3 Monitors at 1920x1200?

I'm helping a friend get set up with a three-monitor system (at 1920x1200 each) using a single ATI graphics card. I suggested that a 5770 might be sufficient for him: two connected via DVI and the third connected via a Display Port to VGA adapter. I saw a comment elsewhere that suggested that...

Build Now, or Wait for SATA 6GB and USB 3?

Looks like the UBS 3 and SATA 6GB/s boards are almost here: http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/20/asus-p6x58-premium-motherboard-arrives-complete-with-usb-3-0-por/ and http://www.xfastest.com/viewthread.php?tid=23098.

Build Now, or Wait for SATA 6GB and USB 3?

I'd RAID 0 them. Will SATA 3GB/s be a bottleneck?

Build Now, or Wait for SATA 6GB and USB 3?

Any ETA? Details? Six or eight cores yet? Will they still be LGA 1366?

Build Now, or Wait for SATA 6GB and USB 3?

I've been contemplating building a new machine with an ASUS or EVGA 1366 board, the Core i7 920, and an Intel X25 or two. But I've been reading that SATA 6GB and USB 3 are in the not-too-distant future. My existing build (EVGA 650i, Q6600) is a decent machine, but I'd like to get some newer...

PNY GeForce 8800GT with Antec Neo 500?

Well, I'm just looking for the cheapest 8800GT I can find. This one is only $110 at Buy.com. Is the one you link to worth the extra $10?

PNY GeForce 8800GT with Antec Neo 500?

I have this PSU: Antec Neo Power 500 500W ATX12V Power Supply. Can I run this GPU: PNY XLR8 GeForce 8800GT 512MB PCI-e 2.0? It says that it requires "a minimum 400W system power supply (with 12V current rating of 26A)." I'm not sure how to tell on the "12V current rating of 26A."

    Three Monitors

Back to two monitors. I'm finding that it's not worth the problems caused by the 6200 to have three monitors. I talked my wife into connecting the extra monitor to her laptop, so all is good. Only $30 lost on the 6200, but I might be able to use it in my Windows Home Server machine that I built...

    Three Monitors

Two other things worth noting: With all three monitors enabled, Vista has trouble coming out of standby. I never had trouble with with only two monitors. With all three monitors enabled, I get a frequent message that the display driver kvlddmkm has stopped responding and has recovered.

    Three Monitors

    Yes. All three via DVI.

    Three Monitors

I think you might be right about the resolution, monitor size, and Vista's graphical demands. I turned the resolution way down, and things are much snappier. I didn't check to see if that fixed the UAC issue or not since I now have UAC disabled. I think I'll keep it at the full resolution though...

    Three Monitors

It's not the CPU, which is a Q6600. I watch the CPU usage when it stalls, and they are very low. When I disable the third monitor connected to the 6200 video card, there's a HUGE different in the speed of UAC. We're talking 10-15 seconds compared to 1.

    Three Monitors

Quick follow up: with my third screen enabled (which is connected via DVI to the 6200), User Account Control in Vista takes 10+ seconds to come up!! When I disable the third monitor, UAC takes less than a second. How weird is that?!
