run cpu-zhttp://www.cpuid.com on the computer that your going to upgrade the cpu on and find the fsb. then go to ebay and find the processor with the clock speed and fsb you want.

im on Everest, does Real Clock mean the FSB? because thats 100MHZ.

The FSB is 100MHz. I don't know if what Everest is saying is the FSB, but it is 100MHz.

i might buy the Slot 1 to Socket 370 adapter off Ebay, soo i can put in my Gateway 2 put a Socket 370 in there, the Gateways clock is 100MHZ, and it says on the CPU "1000/128/100/1.75V", that will work in there right?

yeah were talking about a desktop now, sry. i wanted 2 make sure it will before i bid on it, your positive? lol, that pic is the motherboard in my Gateway desktop, the 1 i want 2 put the 1GHZ CPU in, and the adapter, the original CPU had 2 clips on both sides, that you would have 2 hold 2 pull it out, this adapter is designed just like my Dells, just slips in.

Well I am positive that the adapter will work, but whether or not the motherboard will accept the CPU, that can really only be told by trying.

well does the 128/100 mean? the 100 means the FSB is 100MHZ right? and the CPU in my Gateway originally is 100MHZ.
