the 100 means 100MHZ right, soo whats 128 4? is that the cache?

100mhz is the FSB. The 128 is 128kb and is the amount of L2 Cache.

ok, soo when im on ebay looking 4 a CPU, i look 4 what ever MHZ i want, well i dont know how much my laptop can run, and it has 2 be 100FSB and 128 cache? and, is that link that you posted all the same kinds of CPU's, and will work in here?

it doesnt have to have the same amount of cache, just fsb speed.

Celerons are the only processors to have 128KB L2 cache. I was under the impression that we were talking about a PIII, in which case either that isn't the cache, or something has been messed with.

There are a couple different lines of PIIIs:
Slot 1:
Katmai--100MHz, 512KB
Deschutes--100MHz, 512KB
Coppermine--100MHz, 256KB

SKT 370:
Coppermine--100MHz, 256KB

Those are the only PIIIs with a 100MHz FSB.
If we are talking about Celerons, there is only one option, the Coppermine core, which has a 100MHz FSB and 128KB L2 cache. That is the only processor that I know meets those specifications.

this laptops CPU is PIIIE, and i know 4 sure that it's a Coppermine now, because in Everest, it says L2 Cache 256KB.

The only Intel processors with a 600MHz clock speed are slot 1 and socket 370. That processor is evidently not a slot CPU, so it is socket 370
