NVIDIA: ATI sucks i have had nothing but horrible experiences with them. they have horrible drivers and there stuff isnt generaly compatible with things not made by ati. I have had no problems with Nvidia i would never buy from any other company.

What do you mean ATI doesnt work on things made by ATI? I have never had a problem with a program or game not working with an ATI card. I find ATI to be the best since there cards are usually cheaper and great performance.

Look at the x1900XTX vs the 7800GTX, the ATI card is much better and is several hundred dollars cheaper.

I should of went with the 7800GTX when i picked my card :P however, that was a bit expensive at the time... my video card performs great though, so im happy.

Funny how hardware today works... first nvidia was in the lead.. then now ATI is becoming the best? Same goes with CPU's... Intel used to be great.. now looks like AMD is showing to create the best CPU's now.

but now Intel is catching up. It's a back and forth game, it will never end. lol

Back onto the subject of graphics cards and not Cpu's... Ati currently has the lead in this "back and forth game" with the X1900XT though dual cards still belongs to Nvidia...just...

well very shortly nVidia will be in the lead with the 7900 series. If only CPU's advanced the way graphic cards did :(

The X1900XTX outperforms the 7800GTX in virtually all benchmarks. And 2 X1900XTX's in Crossfire is extremely close to two 7800GTX's. But like everyone has said, its a back and forth game, with the 7900 series almost out that will beat the X1900 series, but then ATI will come out with like an X2000 which will beat the 7900, then Nvidia will come out with like an 8000 series and so on... its a never ending loop.

NVIDIA!!!!!!!! although ati is catching up. but as of the moment better money value in nvidia camp.
its actually the opposite, the x1900XTX is much cheaper over the 7800GTX, yet offers more performance.

I heard that individually, the X1900 kills the 7800GTX, but when they are in multi GPU format, the 7800GTX barely pulls ahead

Barley being the opperative word there! You dont actuallt get a huge bonus from SLI its much more worth while spending the money on other hardware rather than a second graphics card!

Right now it's Nvidia (just got my 7800GTX 512). Have been using an ATI 9700PRO. ATI has given me some driver issues and it appears they are slipping over all. I'm sure the 1900XTX is a great card, but with the twitchy drivers, I'm just not sure.

Im satisfied with my nVidia card, before my 6800gt i had a 9200, and i had major driver issues, and it wouldn't let me play many games. switched to nvidia and bam problem solved.

i honestly find they can be equally performant, but on average, i find you get much more bang for your buck with Nvidia
