Is it better? I was thinking its a little better/equal than/to regular 7900GT. Maybe some tests?
I would like to see those tests where both cards are OC'ed to their max with their stock coolers in the same test :) That would be interesting to see.
He said it 2 years ago dude! haha

I have to go ATI... completely satisfied with my card. I have to say though, I haven't had too much experience with NVidia. ATI is more of a personal choice. Frankly, I think that both cards have just as much to offer on average.

I would have to say nVidia though i was not pleased, and im not sure anyone was, with the FX series. But this 6800 AGP is light speed for all my games, max settings, some games i can run AA some it will slow down.

my gramps has an ATI, and it sucks! (ATI ALL IN WONDER) i completly hate it.....exept the vivo capacity wich its ok...perhaps the other cards are better, but that simple got me sick,
Nvidia for me!

My only problem with ATI is that the cards produce excessive heat compared to Nvidia but they're still both great companies....and btw ChrisDVD The all in wonders don't produce as good of quality as just a dedicated card in most cases

right, perhaps the all in ownder is more for simply the VIVO thing.... and his screen is not so great either (acer) ..... But still, i like nvidia much more better.

i like them both, but most games are optimized for nvidia cards,.. and as im about only gaming with my pc, so for me Nvidia is better atm.

personally i like nvida although i havent used a whole lot of ati as i havent had the chance but i like my motherboard chipset and my gpu so i vote nvidia

I have to say it.. Sorry for all those of which I offend but here it goes.

Its soooooooo damn silly to pick one over the other and then say that one is better then the other. They are both great company’s and both have great products.

What’s good this year is not necessarily going to be what's good next.. I'd much rather pick a product because it's the best which means NVIDIA’s 6800GT over ATI's X800 Pro this year. Last time around it would have been ATI 9800Pro or XT model over just about all the NVIDIA FX series but unfortunately in my case I could only afford the 9600Pro at that time :-(..

It all comes down to who has the better product at the time.. I'm all about the best bang for the buck because too many good things are missed out when we blindly follow one company because we like it's name.

Also here's the proof for you all. It's that sort of attitude is why the 9800pro/XT is the around the same price and sometimes more then the much better X800 Pro, it's because people dont research and dont really know what they are buying 9x out of 10.. It's a fact ;-)... It's also a fact that this sort of attitude has many people thinking that the 9800Pro is still ATi's top product even when they know of the exsitance of the X800Pro.

He's right. The x1900 xtx is better than nvidia's 7900 gtx this year. but last few years nvidia has been the leader. It matters what each companies high end card is better at the time.

Blue didnt mention anything about the x1900XTX/7900GTX in that post.

Not to mention that he said that a long time ago when the X series was just coming out...
