Well.. My 2 cents..

nVIDIA is a bastard of a company. They will stop at nothing to get to the top, including crushing anyone that gets in their way. I absolutely hate their business ethics and refuse to support them.

If you want raw power, nVIDIA often seems to be the way to go, although ATi will come back here and there and put out a product that will stomp all over them.

If you want IQ, ATi is the way to go. So I guess it's just personal preference. Any nVIDIA card I've had I've hated with a passion. I absolutely hate their drivers. They can never seem to get them right. They fix one game just to break two more. Incredibly frustrating.

Just have to put this in another place... look at that for a nice card from ATi.

Those benchmarks were given by ATi... they should be taken with a grain of salt (as far as I'm concerened they're flatout lieing).

agreed as i dont see how their x1900xt beat out a 7950 in almost every game? unless its being run in crossfire and i still think it would be much closer than that

but still that is one nice card

Blue didnt mention anything about the x1900XTX/7900GTX in that post.

Not to mention that he said that a long time ago when the X series was just coming out...

its an example...you know, its showing that what he's saying is still happening now and is true.

Wouldn't it be ironic that intel now has a kick butt proc that kills everything then ati comes out with a gpu that kills everything and intel and amd get a little win win situation. Though nvidia isn't really connecting to intel so much as amd either. But people now do associate amd with ati of course and nvidia to intel.

Uh..no Nvidia and Intel aren't very cool with each other.Nvidia is still working with AMD if you didn't know, now they just have their rival ATI..which now can work with them + the big AMD.So its 3v1 in AMD's court right now.Soon it may be better to get an AMD processor because they might do some package deals with graphic cards and processors.

Lol at the 7800GTX killing the X1900XT in the benchmarks sir kenin posted.

Ehh, the 19XT is the superior card of the two. It's actually better than the 7900 series as well, feature (and many times performance) wise.

i cant be bothered by having the best, of the best, of the best. as long as my pc does its job, and it does it fine.. im happy with it. Im glad Ati and Nvidia are such hard rivals.. because that pushes the speed/performance of the produc's were getting a lot, at relatively low prices.

Atm i have 2 Nvidia cards,. and they do really well. when im going to buy a new pc, im going to look wich card looks to me the best then, regardless the Brand. because so far,.. you cant really say that Ait is better than Nvidia vice versa :)

So true,i used to use Nvidia...but as you can see in my sig,i switched over to ATI.For me,it simply comes down to price to performance ratio, and this card was noticibly better than its rival 6800GT and Ultra models and at a way cheaper price.

just wondering why most video games promote nvidia, they even have video of nvidia when the game start. I have Nvidia on my old PC and ATI Radion on the second, Both seems OK. no problems

ATI is too expensive right now for what I need. I play BF2 and get stellar performance out of my BFG Nvidia 7900 OC 256 MB PCI express card. Got it for only $220

i don't even know what i originally voted, but right now i prefer ATI....
we'll see after direct X 10 comes out, 2007 is gonna be a good year, what with AMD merging with ATI, and intel finally came out with the Core 2 Duo (the long awaited lol).. the competition rages on haha

Now I'm staying with NVidia, I have a GeForce6150 integrated video, and I think that is the best choice for low-priced non-game computer. (btw with my GeForce6150 I can play NFS:MostWanted medium details, I think it's great for its price)

Nvidia for me has just become a brand I trust. ATI could be my next card. I just haven't heard or seen anything significant enough to make the jump. Now that AMD has bought out ATI I'm half expecting something more out of ATI in the future. Just like AMD caught and surpassed Intel in some areas when I used to only trust Intel and now my last three CPU's have been AMD. I might end up preferring ATI in the future.
