I see two prongs on the mobo that say clr_CMOS.. How do i reset the CMOS via that method? I keep seeing the something about a jumper, or sliding a 3rd pin over? All I Have is 2 pins- nothing attached to them

As in, the BIOs reset

But the problem is not fixed right? Well the last thing I can think of is a short in the motherboard. Maybe you dropped a piece of metal inside or there are extra standoffs shorting with the case. Try building it ouside the case and see what happens.

replaced the batt from my other spare PC. which i know is working bc I reset the CMOS in it, and it did it correctly

I´m having trouble understanding that post. Could you ellaborate a bit more?

That is another method for clearing the CMOS. Irrelevant since it´s the same as removing the CMOS battery.

I am saying I reset the CMOS on my second computer by removing the battery. And It reset the BIOS correctly. So I know I am doing it correctly. Problem is still with the original computer and no its not fixed.

Ok just to be clear, you swapped batteries right? Meaning you used the battery on PC 2 to put it on PC 1, and the problem persists?

Yes, I changed batteries. Still the same issues... mobo is out of case. Only things hooked up are the mobo plugs, CPU fan, power switches, GPU, and hard drive.
Same problem.

Well just to be sure make a list of all you´ve done, we´ll see if there is something else you can try and if not I recommend you taking it to a shop. They usually have spare parts they can use to test.

Ok..

I have changed the GPU
I have changed hard drives
I have tried booting with just my SSD, My HDD, and a SSD from a different computer
I have changed PSUs
Ive taken the RAM out and replaced it.
Ive taken the RAM out and tried it in a differnet slot
Ive taken the RAM out and replaced it with different RAM sticks both in the orginal shot, and different slots
I have reset the CMOS via battery reset 5+ times, even changed the battery out
I have taken the mobo out of the case and installed it on a piece of cardboard

This whole problem happened after resetting my computer because my skype was lagging bad and it was saying not enough memory after trying to use the webcam.. I normally leave my computer on all the time, some times I have to restart it because it becomes laggy

Everything powers on when I turn on the PC,. All the fans, the PSU fan and lights, the hard drives (I can hear the HDD start up), fan on the GPU, CPU fan, LED lighting.

The only new thing I have done in the past 24 hours of having this issue is slide my PC out, and plug in a new microphone wire, no new software has been downloaded.
i THINK i got everything

My just took off the CPU fan, and I noticed the TIM is all dried up and crusty between the CPU fan and the processor. The computer does give off a lot of heat, sometimes its 85-90º in my office because of the heat the computer gives off. I used a digital thermo gun the other day when it wasnt working, and after about 10-15 mins the hottest part of the mobo was the CPU area and it was 94ºF

I dont know if thats good or bad info to give

Well yeah the thermal paste can cause problems when not applied properly or when it's too old. I don't know why I didn't mention it on my post. Can you re apply some?

With it be worth changing the processor out on my spare PC and put it on my MOBO on the broken PC

I don't know if you can. We would need specs from both PCs.

So new update.. I changed my mobo out with the 2nd computer i had. Everything else is from my 1st computer expect the RAM and CPU.. So my GPU, PSU, both hard drives, are from my 1st computer. The images I added are from whats going on right now. Its not getting past this point... This is the same hard drive that has been in my 1st computer for months with no issues until I had this issue.

Your CD Drive may be fried too. Try creating a bootable USB and install Windows on a different partition.
