Is there a way to break a computer without it being obvious? I want a new and better one but i cant get one until this hunk of junk from 2000 breaks(so says me mum)

if your parents are not knowlegable of computers just uninstall your OS, or delete something from it that is needed to run, and say that it is broken.

it might be a little fishy is you ask your mum for a new computer, and then she says when the other one quits, and the next day is goes kaput

Just download a lot of porn. Porn is loaded with viruses, etc, you name it, it's there.

Or you could just short something inside the computer. Either one would work fine.

wait a minute, have you considered that your parents may have a reason (god knows what) for not getting a new computer, maybe they cannot afford it, but if you dont feel guilty and you guys have enough money, then do what is suggested above. be sensible about it though. be subtle

Just do something that you can reverse. Unplug the Hdd or something.

said that earlyier, then when you get a new computer, you can just replug in the power supply 2 the hard drive, and have your own computer in your room ;) .

inside barbeque lighters, you will find a spark producing clicky thing
turn on ur computer, touch the wire to some metal part and presto...bye bye

Just slightly cut one of the necessary wires, like one that sends power to the motherboard. Wont be noticeble, and can be fixed if needed.

Did you guys think that his parents might take it to a computer place to get it fixed and they notice these noticable things. :)
