Is this enough power to run my system

They should be more than happy to let you swap it for another PSU (if they actually HAVE any better PSU's - I dunno, I only get fans and CD's from PC World). Not sure if you can get a refund or not.

Is this enough power to run my system

Have you investigated other possible causes of the crashing? Unstable memory, a fault motherboard?

    Cpu Thermal Grease Issue

Why? He has good temps, so why reapply more paste?

Help with my OC - cant change multipliers or clocks

His motherboard simply does not allow overclocking. The 'VM' stands for value motherboard. You get what you pay for. The manual says you can increase FSB, but this is an error on Asus' part. You can overclock in Windows, I guess. Depends how far you can increase the FSB before the motherboard...

    cpu selection

It'll run fine. The speed they recommend is usually for if you have a Pentium 4 processor. A core 2 duo does more work per clock, so does not need to operate as fast to do equal/more work then a higher clocked Pentium 4.

    Os

Well, I guess if you pop down to a PC Shop and buy a pre-built computer, the hard drive will have a OS pre-installed. However, you won't be able to remove the new hard drive, and put it into your current computer.

    lost

The ONLY reason to buy a combo is if the motherboard is decent, and you save money. Otherwise, but them separately.

I overclocked my CPU so badly, so it doesn`t start any more - help plz!

But, were the pins burnt due to a fault within the processor, or a separate component. From AMD (no doubt same with Intel)

I overclocked my CPU so badly, so it doesn`t start any more - help plz!

Depends on what terms AMD/Intel replace processors on. It may be they just replace those that have got 'worn out' or were damaged during production. They may simply say 'not my problem that you didn't have a surge protector' to you.

I overclocked my CPU so badly, so it doesn`t start any more - help plz!

Unless you say the motherboard/PSU randomly gave the CPU too much voltage for no reason, they will know you intentionally increased voltage to overclock. If you leave voltages alone (set it to a value, not Auto), they can't tell if you've overclocked, as you won't have done any damage.

    Which processor is better?

Also, Core 2 duos can do more work per clock than Athlon's. So, clock speed alone doesn't determine which is a better processor anymore.

    Need advices on RAM

It will still accept the sticks. Dual channel is just a extra bonus. If the motherboard supports it, and if you have 2 sticks of matching RAM, you will get a performance boost via Dual Channel. If your motherboard doesn't support dual channel, the memory will still work, but you won't get that...

    Help on overclocking

Water cooling that is better than current air heatsinks will set you back a few hundred dollars. Water cooling is really only for those wanting to put lots of voltage through their components. As you don't want to affect life expectancy, you want to leave voltage at stock. Simply increasing the...

    Need advices on RAM

These should do the trick. Obviously, you will have no need for the 2 sticks of memory you're currently using. Browsing through some Canadian e-tailers, one of them had some memory priced at $700 for some bizarre reason.

How to destroy a hard drive physically

The best options are to use a strong magnetic field to wipe the date, or to melt the platters (if you have access to high enough temperatures).

    Need advices on RAM

    1. Yes, you are correct 2. Choose the higher number. This number represents how fast the memory can run (like the 'GHz' number for a processor). However, faster speeds more often than not cost more, and may not necessarily run at the advertised speed without 'overclocking' (changing settings in...

    Mobo and screw problem?

Looks like A is the one you need to use. If the screw doesn't screw in easily, then it doesn't fit (it might want to screw in at a slight angle etc).

A couple of questions on AMD Opterons

At stock clocks, you will only see a difference if the Opteron has more L2 cache than the Athlon. The attractiveness of Opterons are their ability to overclock further than their Athlon counterparts. People have been able to get Opteron 165's (1.8GHz stock) up to 2.8GHz and beyond; Athlon 3800...
