    Good Cooler for 8800GTS

Look what I found :) That's what you need to do, apart from the waterblock.

    Dual monitors on 8800GTX

Playing on monitor one with background on monitor 2 will not reduce performance. All that happens is the background will use a TINY amount of video memory. If the map is being viewed via internet browser, no impact on performance. Very few games are able to take advantage of multiple monitors.

Why Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz?

The celeron is faster, but the core 2 duo is far more powerful than a celeron. Perfect example: Is an 18-wheeler with trailer faster than a racing motorbike simply because it has more horsepower? Of course not.

    Good Cooler for 8800GTS

Yup. You'd have to buy ramsinks for the memory, the PWM MOSFETS (which will [most likely] require you to cut them up), and the little chip near the DVI ports. Possibly more points need to be cooled.

Someone has to explain this to me.

Well, firstly, a core 2 duo is better than a pentium 4. Forget about the 'GHz' number. You can't cross compare different processors, because under the lid, they all work differently. It's like trying to say an 18-wheeler is faster than a racing motorbike because it has more horsepower. There...

    Good Cooler for 8800GTS

I recommend the stock cooler. The reason it is so big is it isn't just cooling the core and memory. There are other heat points around the card that need cooling. The only coolers that can cool all these points are: a) Stock cooler b) Waterblocks

Budget water cooling for my cpu

53C is fine, don't panic. 60C is when you need to start working out how to improve cooling.

    game bottleneck

It's the processor. I dare you to put 20+ ragdolls in a box with explosives at the bottom, and detonate it. Now, THAT puts a strain on the processor, albeit just for a few seconds.

what is the point of overclocking?

Basically, the reason for overclocking is the same reason you upgrade your processor to a faster one (say, from 2GHz to 2.6GHz). Only difference is overclocking is cheaper, and much more time consuming. You will only see a difference in tasks which were actually limited by your initial processor...

    C2D installation

There should be some grey stuff on the underside of the heatsink. That's the thermal paste. The stock heatsink that came with my dual core Athlon gave me load temps of 50C (possibly lower) at full load when overclocked (with voltage at stock of course). In my books, that's good.

    C2D installation

Wrong. Stock heatsinks are absolutely fine. Think about it, would AMD/Intel ship heatsinks with processors that didn't do the job? That would cost a fortune in warranty replacements. Just gently place the processor in the socket (making sure it is the right way round, and not 90 degrees...

    cpu temps

Dude, downloading does not stress your processor. Download Prime95, and run 4 instances of that, 1 per core. Nothing will ever make your CPU as hot as that will.

    colling methoids

justinups. Did you see how they get the heat out of the oil? If the heat isn't removed, the system WILL overheat as the oil warms up and up. [Answer: They can't.] Oil "cooling" is not cooling, it is heat absorption. The heat is not dissipated.

    best liquid cooling

Don't buy a liquid cooling case. Don't buy a liquid cooling kit. They both are out-performed by high-end air coolers (as they use poor parts), which are also cheaper.

You forgot " - flash memory's awfully slow speed = no benefit"

Equal ATI card to the 8800GTS?

I sure hope you joking. If a person has the money, and the need, for a new computer component, the only reason to wait until a new component comes out is if it comes out in 2 weeks or less. No point at all in waiting 5 months for an un-needed performance increase.

Equal ATI card to the 8800GTS?

The HD2900XT is equal to (or slightly better than) the 8800GTS 640MB. But, I would recommend the 8800, simply because ATI drivers are still buggy.

    which is better?

Well, I use a PCI blower fan, but I doubt that is getting all of the warm air out. You kinda need to stop holding my hand here and run off into the unknown.

    which is better?

Use your ingenuity. I use thin cardboard to route air when I need to. Just use cardboard to prevent warm air travelling up to CPU from GPU, and use the cardboard to contain it all underneath the GPU PCB. Then use fan(s) to suck the warm air out.

    intel in trouble

Because in the GPU market, both ATI and nVidia have a similar share of the market. However, Intel dominates the CPU market due to it's massive bank account, and the EU is there to maintain a level of competition, so the consumers don't lose out when company a destroys company b - this could be...
