Cheers for the reply boys, was no pci card and I used the standoffs. I ended up reseating the entire motherboard and each part except the cpu and now its showing and image...bit weird...must've been shorting on something...guess ill never know haha! Thanks again :)

Hey all!, Thanks to the help here i finally bought a hd5850 but came across a small obstacle! I wanted to use the hd5850 and a 9800gt running physx. When i installed the 5850 i realised it takes 2 x pcie cables from the psu and seeing my psu only has 2 of these i cannot power the 9800gt...

No you do not need a ddr3 mobo for your gfx card...that only applys for ram The other thing is Windows XP will only use 3gig of your 4gig, just letting you know incase you didnt! -Matt
