I assume with the motherboard and cpu being in a bundle, that they are compatible. I agree with claptonman's suggestions on the hard drive. I am not sure whether a 500W power supply is good for that setup, as I don't really know that much about power supplies.

I think cad is Canadian dollars. Just a guess. As for your build, I believe you should be able to build it for pretty close to that price, though I don't have any recommended parts at the moment. I also strongly recommend newegg.
