    Video card and RAM recommendation

I should mention I am using graphic setting 6 in game, and reducing it to 5 (which system recommends) brings GPU into 90% average utilization. I thought WoW didn’t care much about GPU but this testing is showing otherwise.

    Video card and RAM recommendation

Well I was up to 1am but I got everything updated now. Sadly, the GPU is still hitting 100% utilization most of the time. The RAM and CPU utilization are never hitting 100% now, but the RAM is still around 80% utilization on average... CPU is about 70% average while flying in game.

    Video card and RAM recommendation

My current PC specs are in my signature, and I primarily play World of Warcraft (1080p). My video card is hitting 100% utilization and my RAM is 90%+ utilization. I don't think a full rebuild is necessary at this point, so I am hoping you guys can give me recommendations. Is there a DDR3 16GB...

How to setup 3 monitors with R9 280?

Thanks C4C, Why won't I be able to run 3 monitors at full resolution though? Am I able to just plug adapters into the mini displayports to convert them to HDMI or DVI up to the 2 outside monitors?

SLI and water cooling 4Gb nVidia GTX 970's

Two of the 970s in SLI is a good investment when it comes to price vs performance. Water cooling is personal preference but not necessary

    Gaming Computer

If you plan on overclocking that CPU than I would look at a better aftermarket cooler, maybe the Hyper 212 evo or water cooling. Other than that all the components that you have listed are excellent. The EVGA power supplies are rated highly. Good choice. Enjoy your new PC

My first PC build but is this $1,700 of overkill?

If you haven't bought the components yet than feel free to check this out: http://forums.ncix.com/forums/?mode=showthread&forum=116&threadid=2675680&pagenumber=1&msgcount=27&subpage=1 Very solid $1500 CDN build. It would even be a little cheaper for you in the US.

    Back, 3 years later

Based off your current specs I would say the GTX 970 is a safe bet that will provide you with a great upgrade. You'll be able to play any game on ultra with the 1680:1050 resolution.

What's the rest of your system specs? What's your budget? What screen resolution do you game at? Are you ok with medium high settings or looking for ultra?

You are probably going to be disappointed in the graphics card if you went with anything less than an R7 265

    Should I crossfire?

So I'm a bit torn now. There are some beautiful Gtx 970s out now but my R9 280 oc is only a few weeks old. It sounds like the r9 285 will be replacing the 280 so I am trying to decide between picking up a second r9 280 or just riding my single card out. I would love to have a Gtx 970 but...
